Colleagues from PGL’s headquarters in Ross-on-Wye have been busy fundraising in support of local young people’s charity Hope Support Services!
Thanks to a range of activities to kick off their initial twelve month partnership, the workers from the UK’s leading outdoor education activity provider were able to handover over £2,400 to the charity.
Established in 2009 to provide support for young people aged between five and twenty-five who have a loved one with a serious illness, the donation will allow the charity to provide a range of outreach services.
“We were extremely delighted that the team at the PGL offices chose us as their charity of the year,” said Michael xx, CEO of Hope Support Services. It is vital donations like these that allow us to continue to provide much needed support to young people”
The amount raised could provide up to 80 weekly group support sessions for young people in crisis or pay for 33 young people to take an accredited training course. The team at PGL’s offices on Penyard Lane in Ross-on-Wye held a number of events from cake sales to an auction of old activity equipment.
“As a company that works to enrich the lives of young people every day, we absolutely appreciate the work that Hope provides to young people who are facing tough and tragic personal circumstances,” says Kathryn Beaumont, ESG Manager for PGL. “By raising these funds we know they will be able to provide some help and support away from the distress they face.”
