Supporting our local communities is a key part of our work at PGL Beyond and our PGL centre at Osmington Bay and our support centre in Blackpool have been reaching out with food donations this month.
Activities Instructor Rosie Aley rallied colleagues at our Weymouth centre to help support the local Weymouth Food Bank this month. Collectively the team donated 50kg of food which is an incredible amount.
At our support centre in Blackpool we have a great team of volunteers who have been working hard to develop local relationships. Lead by Jill Rutter, Sophie Beckett and Kerry Whitehead the team were able to donate a whopping 115kg of food for the Blackpool Foodbank. The foodbank had run a half term campaign asking for specific items for children who would have otherwise have been hungry during the holidays. Thanks to all the team for stepping up and supporting.
This is just another great example of our local reachout fundraising and volunteering as we go beyond and work to be a real force for good.
