The team at PGL Boreatton Park have been doing an exceptional job of fundraising for their nominated local charity this year, Hope House Children’s Hospices, with their latest efforts taking them to new heights!

Four members of the team took part in a daring 89ft abseil down Tŵr Marcwis Anglesey Column in Wales, and raised £927 as part of a fundraising event that raised a total £27,000 for the local charity.

Hope House Children’s Hospices provides care and support for children and young people with life-threatening conditions and their families. The organisation offers a range of services, including respite care, end-of-life care, and support services like counselling and advocacy. Hope House also has a sister hospice, Ty Gobaith, located in North Wales, and they collaborate to serve families across Shropshire, Cheshire, and North and Mid Wales.

The ‘Anglesey Abseil’ is the activity Boreatton Park team have done with the charity, having previously attend hospice open days, connected with other local donors, participated in other community fundraising events and devised many other creative ways to raise funds and awareness for the charity.

The team has been putting the ‘fun’ in fundraising with events such as a Eurovision sweepstake; 10-mile canal walk (dressed as a hippo); ‘Mega Bingo’, bake sale and a tuck shop carrier bag contribution scheme (see photos below).

Bravo team and keep up the good work!
