As we head into Christmas it seems the right time to talk about how we give back at PGL Beyond.

We get a lot of requests from people throughout the year in terms of asking for support, and whilst we always want to give back, we do already have a range of schemes in place, that ensure we are consistently supporting our communities.

Our Giving Framework has a number of areas and these include:

  • The Breakthrough Fund

We believe that outdoor education and adventure is a right, not a privilege, so each year we commit to providing either free or discounted breaks to school groups to attend residential trips to PGL centres.

  • Nominated charities

We believe the power of fundraising is enhanced by colleague selection, so our nominated charities are selected by our teams and we encourage fundraising activities within our working day

  • Volunteering

Giving back to the community is integral to driving real purpose at PGL Beyond and every colleague with four months service (or more) to qualify for 20 hours of volunteering time per calendar year. This doesn’t need to be related to the nominated fundraising charities, but any local charity or group providing help and support to young people.

“We feel real purpose being part of our local communities, and we hope that we can continue to be a real force for good through our Giving Framework,” says Kathryn Beaumont, ESG Manager. “Together we can provide more and more opportunities for young people.”
