European Study Tours has rebranded as Esto, unveiling a bold new identity designed to reflect growing demand from schools and teachers for more personalised, curriculum-linked and meaningful educational travel experiences.

The specialist educational travel company is entering a new chapter in its 40-year history with a fresh name, new brand identity and renewed focus on building closer partnerships with teachers to create bespoke trips that inspire students both inside and outside the classroom.

The rebrand reflects both the company’s evolving global offering and its belief that the most impactful school trips are shaped through collaboration, flexibility and personal connection.

The move comes at a time when educational trips are increasingly being viewed as an extension of classroom learning rather than an optional extra. One in two school trips are now directly linked to a core curriculum subject*, as schools seek experiences that deliver measurable educational value alongside enrichment opportunities for pupils.

Esto works with schools to create tailored educational travel experiences designed around the learning objectives, interests and needs of individual student groups. From curriculum-focused tours to wider cultural and experiential learning opportunities across Europe and worldwide.

Steve Hougham, Head of Brand and Insight at Esto, said: “School travel becomes magical because of the people you’re with — both during the journey and in the planning. Nothing compares to trips shaped by genuine collaboration, personal insight and shared ambition for what students can experience and achieve.

“Teachers increasingly want trips that deliver meaningful educational value while also reducing the pressure that comes with organising them. That’s why Esto is built around relationships. We work with teachers to create experiences that feel uniquely theirs rather than a one-size-fits-all itinerary.

“Well-designed educational trips can play an important role in building confidence, cultural awareness and engagement with learning. We don’t just sell trips — we listen, collaborate and support teachers every step of the way.”

Steph Drysdale, Sales Manager at Esto, added: “In a world of AI and automation, Esto is unapologetically human and personal. Our team takes the time to really understand teachers, their students and what they want their trip to achieve. We see ourselves as an extension of the schools we work with, helping to shape experiences that feel truly exceptional and memorable.”

The new branding reflects a more modern, vibrant and globally minded approach within the educational travel sector, while staying true to the personality and passion of the team behind the business.

The new Esto website features destination inspiration, trip ideas, educational resources and direct access to the team to support collaborative trip planning.

“Our new strapline, ‘Go Further, Together’, captures the heart of what we do at Esto,” added Steve Hougham. “It reflects the collaborative way we work with schools and teachers to create experiences that are so much more than just a school trip.”

Esto organises educational travel experiences for primary schools, secondary schools and colleges, supporting curriculum-led learning through subject-specific tours, cultural visits and experiential travel programmes across Europe and worldwide.
