As part of its network of relationships with non-educational groups, PGL Travel has announced that its partnership with Girls’ Brigade England & Wales now includes sponsorship of a brand new ‘Nights Away’ badge.

This new badge recognises the significant achievement of a young person staying away from home and, along with the exclusive members’ rate on PGL adventure camps, encourages independence and personal growth.

“We know that staying away from home is a really formative experience for young people,” says Eleanor Bennett, Communications and Media Manager at Girls’ Brigade Ministries. “We’re delighted to be partnering with PGL to formally recognise these milestones with the new Nights Away badge and increase the girls’ access to PGL’s exciting adventures.”

Three circular pins featuring crescent moons and stars with the text “Nights away.” Each has a different colored crescent: dark gray, orange, and brown.

There are three ‘Nights Away’ badges that members can earn, with bronze recognising the achievement of one night away from home, silver awarded after 10 nights away and gold after 20 nights away. The partnership also gives Girls’ Brigade Ministries’ access to an exclusive discount rate across PGL’s 16 UK centres and two French adventures – watersports in the Ardèche based at Domaine de Segries, and Disneyland Paris trips based out of Chateau de Grande Romaine.

“We at PGL have a long and valued relationship with uniformed groups, such as Girls’ Brigade Ministries, who align closely with our mission of enriching young lives through engaging with the outdoors and building a sense of community,” said Alison Sudbury, Chief Commercial Officer at PGL Beyond. “We’re delighted to be partnered in such a way that encourages independence in these young women and makes PGL residential breaks more accessible to them.”
